Anchorage Was Awesome!

Anchorage was awesome! We started of the day by volunteering at the Downtown Soup Kitchen Hope Center to cook the lunch. While  lunch was being given out we gave out blankets, hygiene kits, clothing, ponchos, hand warmers, water, snacks, socks and Bibles. Appreciate the Collins coming along and bringing so much stuff. So awesome to work with them again. Also appreciate Pastor Jared coming and lending a hand. Thank you Beantown Blankets for sending boxes & boxes of blankets. Bonus for the day was being able to pray over Andrea’s Jeep after lunch.  She is our newest Christian Jeep Association member! #takesavillage #missionforhope #christianjeepassociation

2 Months on the Road

Today marks being on the road 2 months! What a journey so far. We have given out hundreds of blankets, hygiene kits and socks to the homeless in 8 cities. We have shared the love of Jesus with so many along the way.  We have added many new members to the Christian Jeep Association family.  I say “We” because all of you are with me every mile. Thank you for your encouragement, messages, texts, emails, support & prayers. I couldn’t do this journey without you! Six more months, 42 more cities and thousands of more miles to go! 🙏

Outreach in Fairbanks with hotdogs!

Yesterday I partnered with the Saturday Night Hotdog Ministry in downtown Fairbanks to hand out blankets, hygiene kits, Bibles, socks along with hotdogs!  This group of very kind folks have been giving out free hotdogs and having live worship music for the last five years. Very, very committed group. It was awesome to partner with them. It was a joy to work with them!

Helping in Salt Lake City

Today were able to give blankets, hygiene kits, socks, water, snacks and Bibles to some folks on the streets of Salt Lake City.    Appreciate all that helped out today and Beantown Blankets for donating blankets and shipping them into each city that I’m doing outreach in. Also appreciate Steven Ford back home shipping me hygiene kits every week from my storage unit. #takesavillage

We hit the streets of Denver.

Had an awesome team in Denver today for outreach. We gave out blankets, hygiene kids, socks, snacks, Bibles and lots of water to folks living on the streets. Last stop was to one of Colorado Village Collaborative’s communities. It’s really an awesome program for people struggling with housing. Salt Lake City is next.

I took my Jeep into a quarry.

Image e  Minneapolis wasn’t really on my list to do out reach but God put in my heart to go to Walmart and fill up my Jeep with stuff. The manager of the store was very kind and donated all the socks. I headed to a pretty rough part of North Minneapolis near the Salvation Army. I spoke to two armed security guards at a church near the Salvation Army. They said if I gave out anything there, they would most likely sell it to buy drugs.   One of the security guards made some calls for me to find out where I should go. His friend suggested I go to the encampment off of the Home Depot parking lot called the ”Quarry”.    I drove there and actually drove into the Quarry with permission. (It wasn’t a real quarry.) Looks like about 50 people were camped there. They were very appreciative of the socks, snacks, hygiene kits, water, oranges and Bibles.

Chicago is my kind of town.

Great outreach in Chicago on Saturday. Had a really good team of Jeepers. Gave away blankets, hygiene kids, socks, water, lots of snacks and Bibles to folks in camps under bridges and in parks.
