Indianapolis… First stop… Great success!

What a day! The first stop of my 200 day mission trip was Indianapolis and it was off the charts! Brian Engelhardt of Warrior Jeeps took the lead on this stop months ago. He recruited two other clubs,  Northwest Indiana Jeepers and Indiana Jeepsters. All three clubs have been fundraising and putting together kits for a men, women and children for months. They have also been collecting donations and financial support the last two months.

LaPorte Chrysler in LaPorte donated the use of a trailer & truck and also made a monetary donation. American Legion post 64 donated breakfast for the volunteers this morning.

Our first stop this morning was the Dayspring Center which shelters 15 families. We gave out kits for men, women and kids. We also gave out clothing, toys for the kids and lots of other items. Lots and lots of smiles this morning at the center!

Our next stop was the Wheeler Men’s Mission which is a shelter for 300 - 500 men depending on the time a year. We gave out 140 kits which was just enough. We also donated 50 @beantownblankets and a bunch of other items.  The guys to say the least felt very blessed.

Today I was able to pray with our team a few times,  pray with the guests at Dayspring, pray with the staff at Dayspring and also pray with the men at Wheeler Men’s Mission. At times it today it was very emotional for me.… Still hard to believe it’s all happening. Thank you for all your support and prayers! I couldn’t do without you my friends! #missionforhope #ittakesavillage #jeepers #jeeps #givingback #helpingthehomeless
